    I just reformatted my computer using a new slipstream cd i made and i am having some issues with iTunes and DirectX.

    I have tried the WebSetup for DirectX and the Nov07 redist and both give me this error:

    "An internal system error occurred.
    Please refer to DXError.log and DirectX.log in your Windows folder to determine problems."

    The DXError.log file looks like this:
    Code:
    --------------------
    [11/09/07 11:10:11] module: dxupdate(Oct 22 2007), file: dxupdate.cpp, line: 189, function: GetDXVersion

        Failed API:		RegQueryValueEx()
        Error: (2) - The system cannot find the file specified.

        Current DirectX may be a older version which does not have the version value in the registry.

    --------------------
    [11/09/07 11:10:11] module: dxupdate(Oct 22 2007), file: dxupdate.cpp, line: 4504, function: DirectXUpdateDownloadPlugIn

        GetDXVersion() failed.

    --------------------
    [11/09/07 11:10:12] module: DXWSetup(Oct 22 2007), file: dxupdate.cpp, line: 386, function: DownloadPlugIn

        DirectXUpdateDownloadPlugIn() failed.

    --------------------
    [11/09/07 11:10:12] module: DXWSetup(Oct 22 2007), file: psheets.cpp, line: 498, function: PreinstDlgProc

        DownloadPlugIn() failed.
    Any help would be appreciated. I'm on the verge of just formatting again this time with the regular WinXP cd.
