Issue with Vista, Application and User Accounts

My wife has a lap top with Vista, and it has two other account - one for me and one for my son. My wife's account is set up as an Administrator account and the other two are Standard. I have Intuit's Quickbooks Pro 2007, and can't get it running. I think it's related to the User Accounts, and the way they might need to be set up differently.

Someone told me to go in to the C:/ProgramData/CommonFiles directory and open up permissions to Full Control for all Users. I can't seem to change permissions and push down inheritances for the two User Accounts, even if I'm in as Admin.

    Thanks

BILLMCC66 - tried that and it's still a problem, if I'm understanding things correctly. I logged in to my wife's account, which is the only Admin account, and clicked the box to run as Admin. I don't have an Admin Users Group. This is a stand alone lap top.

Regarding this part of that instruction:
To perform the following procedure, you must be logged into a client computer as a member of the local administrators group. You cannot be logged in with the computer (or built-in) administrator account because Admin Approval Mode does not apply to this account.

I can only log in with either my wife's account (which is Admin) or my account, which is a User Account. Maybe I'm not computer savvy enough - but is there another way to get in to the lap top other than those two accounts?

    Thanks for the reply.

A few more things that might help. When I was logged in to my wife's account (Admin privs) I went to register and got an HTTP Error 404 - I think it indicates to check the web address. Well, I forgot to mention, but before I tried a clean uninstall (found some info on Intuit's website that some folders and files need to be deleted even after the uninstall) and re-installed that I got a totally different response when logged in to my account. My account is a User Account (Standard Account - not Admin) and what happened when I tried to register, as it actually successfully hit the website (does this in a window that's internal to Quickbooks Pro 2007) as I got a prompt to enter my license number. Then when I hit that I could see all my info pop up - but then immediately a Windows error message popped up saying it was going to terminate the program.

Not sure if this helps you guys figure things out for me, but because it's acting differently depending on which account I'm logged in to - it seems to me it's related to the different User Account and maybe how the permissions are set up.

    Thanks
