Hello! I was trying to share some stuff through a public folder today. I turned off all of my firewall and anti virus, enabled sharing and network discovery etc. The problem comes when I click on the "network" button/ menu on the left side of windows explorer. I click on it, and the address bar turns green as if windows is searching, but this gets no where.

I had a virus/ some type of corruption a while back that had residual effects in windows firewall and explorer, I thought I had stamped them all out but this could be another one.

    Thanks

Net crawl sucks in Windows, and it takes time to populate if you had a firewall blocking it. Do you know the computer names?

You can access them through start, run, \\computername.

I will try that tomorrow. I turned off all the security I could.
