Issues Removing LiveUpdate 3.2

    I have been trying to install a 30 day trial of McAfee to my Laptop and ran into problems, had a livechat with them and they said that LiveUpdate 3.2 was still installed on my computer, I have downloaded and run Norton Removal Tool then tried the install again - no joy! LiveUpdate does not appear in program list and does not come up after multiple searches. I don't know what to do next! I'm no expert! Can one of you clever people suggest something else I can try please?:confused

    Hi

    Try booting into Safe Mode and then running the NortonRemovalTool, may find something and remove any running process.

    If you are using Windows XP or Vista then logon as admin.

    Also download and install CCleaner and run its Cleaner (note if you have autologon for some websites then using this unless you have from Tools > cookies saved the sites you wish to save the cookies from) to delete any temp files that could be norton installers, also run the Registry tool a few times to clean any old registry entries out and do this until nothing is found.

    Check for Norton folders in Program Files folder and delete if found.
