Issues With Cd Caddy Hdd Swap And Make It Work.

hey guys I am really confused with this one. i have a Samsung laptop
1.9 quad core
8gb ram
240gb SSD in the normal HDD section
graphics is built in with the CPU bla bla bla.. lol

i have recently bought a SSD to upgrade this laptop for more speed, perfect works great.
i then bought a HDD caddy to use as a back up drive in my PC. awesome idea i thought.
now.. when i pull everything together and put it in the laptop like those poor instructions had told me, it didn't work.

so now i been searching all over the place trying to find help to get this to work. the light shows up on the odd HDD drive and i cant get any of the computer to reckonise there is even a second hard drive even there.

i had tryed this caddy with same hdd in it with another laptop to test it and it worked straight away. still dont understand why it wont working this one.

please help guys.. info in photos that may help. thanks

 

What's the Operating System of this laptop? Is it the same as the laptop where it works?

 

The third picture you posted shows SATA Port 2 as Not Installed. What happens if you put the DVD drive back in and go to the same screen. Does it show that the DVD drive is there?
If it does, you may be scr*wed as the Samsung BIOS doesn't want to see a hard disk drive in the DVD bay and nobody but Samsung can fix that.
