Issues with Kasperskys

    I installed the RENEWAL for Kasperskys almost 3 weeks ago. It has been a nightmare every since. I have reinstalled it, cleaned every remainder of Norton's from my computer, but it is still not letting me access certain programs. The worst thing is that the computer is not shutting down with the message:
    Windows cannot find http:\\oca.microsoft.com/resredir.aspx?SID=685 & bucket =0x01. I don't think that this is coincidental with the installation of Kasperskys; my computer just shut down 2 times in 5 minutes, with this same message! Help! Thanks in advance!

    I used a tool that Kasperskys support gave me, so supposedly, all traces of Norton's is gone. I am running XP. I turned Kasperskys off, and have not had a problem in 5 hours now. Is the error code related to Kasperskys, or not? Thanks!

    Hi

    The error message links to likely driver/service issue and yes as Kaspersky and other AVs use services it may have been from having reminents of older AV installed or a corrupted install of new AV.

    SO seems the tools you ran to clear all of Norton out has removed this message?
