Issues With Ms Dos N=based Mame System From 2004

Hi team

I own a remanufactured sit down arcade gaming table and it hasnt been used for years. I knew the CMOS battery would be dead as it hasnt been plugged in for about 8 years so I replaced that. On trying to start it up the hard drive just kept clicking, not on screen activity at all. It did this about 5 times and then suddenly started working again. It was fine for about 2 days and then the hardrive sounded like it was chopping vegetables. Then it would boot up anymore. I removed the drive and using Paragon did a raw copy of the drive, however that copy I fear is corrupt - now all I get is a flashing DOS cursor - no attempt to load the MAME application at all so I figure my config.sys is probably corrupt if not other files as well. What are my options here? Can I just replace the config.sys file - I have included the screen shot of some of the MSDOS files from the paragon image to see if anything jumps out at anyone.



I do also have another small formfactor PC with Vista on it so I could use that if I have to ... but my prefernce is just to reload what I have onto a new drive and get it working again. I think my original MAME had about 60 games and I know there are hundreds more available so I could start again but I bought this system complete so I dont really know how to reload all the software needed and reconfigure buttons and joysticks etc.

Any help would be so greatly appreciated.
