    HI

Just need to clarify what you mean when you mention disk drive, is this the Hard Disk Drive or the CD/DVD Drive?

Does your PC still start as in CPU fan and other fans spin?
Do you still get Windows loading?

Even with either drive that's affected unplug the cable (grey thick one I would imagine is width thick and depth thing with what look like loads of wired stuck together like this HERE) then plug them back in as they may not be seating correctly.

What is your Windows version and Service Pack? (may just need to know this if we have to give you any instruction to follow in Windows, which is likely to be open Device Manager > find the CD DVD Drives listing and then uninstall the drive, then reboot and Windows will re-install the driver, as it could be corrupt)

and im not sure what u mean by service pack so ill name whats in it. i got a 500G hard drive and a 400G hard drive i have a gigabyte mother Bord and graphics card. 8 or 16 ram and a cd/dvd drive (that wont open). it wont even make an etempt at opening. i will also give u the message it sends me when i try to open it. it says plz insert disk if i click on it and if i click eject via "my computer" it gives me "an error occurred while trying to eject cd/dvd drive :G" message. if u need it i will take a pic of the inside of my pc and post it if it might help

    Hi

Well Windows 7 will do fine as your OS and Service Pack info.... can find all HERE

But what I would try is to as you already have been inside your PC case is to unplug and re-plug in the cable to the CD/DVD drive and then boot up and see if all works ok.

If not then open Device Manager and look for DVD/CD Rom Drives and open it then right click and uninstall the CD/DVD Drive, reboot and Windows should load the driver again.

    Or try this HERE

If this doesn't work then possible is that the drive is faulty.

It sounds as if your CD/DVD drive has bitten the dust. Time to get a new drive if pressing the eject button on it won't work.
