[rant] It's gotta be! First our garbage disposal (only a year old) decides it wants to quit. Then the microwave decides it wants to turn on every time you open the door. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v173/star17abby/yikes.gif Then my computer dies. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v173/star17abby/cry.gif While I've been kinda lost (ok, a lot lost!) without my puter I've been spending some extra time crocheting and I have some things ready for the next stage. Sewing in linings and a zipper. Well...Chris got out my sewing machine for me this morning before he left for work and it's not working right! whaaaa!!!! It keeps locking up, the thread keeps breaking and all the oil leaked out of the tube so I can't oil it. At least THAT was inside of a ziplock bag so it didn't get on anything else. I give up!!

I can relate though.

Bought a house about 7 years ago.

Microwave went out one week.

Dishwasher the next.

In the following weeks, the dryer and washer went out, too.

 

I think our dryer is next..it takes 2 hours to dry a load of towels

I seriously considered telling Chris I was going to go on strike and would stay completely away from all electrical appliances cuz they obviously don't like me....ya know...things like the stove, refrigerator, washer, dryer, etc. (until I have the rest of my puter parts that is) but then I thought better of that cuz that means I wouldn't be able to use his puter to visit MG during the day while he's at work! Oh the horror! &THUD*

Yeah, that's weird. The other day I accidently hooked up the battery in my car backwards. Now the horn "sucks", the radio "listens" and the headlights cast "shadows". Go figure.

I understand completely.
My home is only 30 years old. But, when they put everything to "code", they took way to many shortcuts.
For example:
Imstead of having the washer and dryer on their own breaker, they are wired in with the kitchen, wich houses the fridge,microwave and stove.
may not soud odd to you, but the bathroom and hall are also wired in to the kitchen.
Lucky for us the water heater and furnace are not, but they are wired to the living room and upstairs bath.
the "certified" electrician that did all the homes for my landlored is no longer in employ(as of last week ).

 

Over Christmas we discovered you can't hook up the wok, microwave and outdoor Christmas lights at the same time. The kitchen is at the back of the house....the lights were at the front....go figure! I lost count how many times we tripped that breaker.

True dat. I had the microwave; Kettle, toaster, and electric grill all blow up within days of each other. Lucky me stove is gas.

Now, home-made hair cuts can be spooky, I.M.O. The last time I trusted a 'friend' to do it mine with those electric buzzer thingies, I looked like Friar Tuck, with a big thin patch on top. I wasn't impressed. That's what I get for being a cheapskate, I guess!

She thought it was hilarious, but I wasn't laughing for the next month or so.<Phantom makes mental note: Do NOT give out wine to drink before letting someone attempt a haircut on ya!>

 

Sounds like everything in my house... First the DVD player lost the remote, and it only has 3 buttons... Play stop Eject, so there isnt any way to look at any of the extra things on the dvds. Then the tv started to emit this awful high pitched sound that gives you a headache from being in the room with it. Then the microwave thought it would be cute to stop opening, then the computer started to make a sound, and that's always the beginning of the end... the monitor is 11 years old and burned out, the mouse lost the left button and the printer just plain flipped me the bird.

I hate electronics...
