It's toast

I just saw a new file posted in teh opening page - Toast.

The author is listed as ''unknown'.

Well, the person who posted it just doesn't know the right people. ;-)

That program has been around for at least 3 years. I first heard about it at ...ummmm.... another site ;-)

The program is a CPU burn-in'er, and is far better than any other, IMHO.
The guy knows his assembly language, and keeps the pipelines, both interger and FP, as full as possible, keeping the CPU as busy as possible.
The best testimony as to its efficacy came from a frind whom I turned on to the prrogram. He had one of the first Tyan Tiger dual Athlon mobos, adn he said that it flogged the CPUs hard enough to raise the CPU temp 5 degrees over any other CPU burn-in program that he used. BTW, I forget if he said Celsius or Fahrenheit ;-(.

Anyway, the author is a guy by the name of Luis Selvon, and there is a site (not his) where you can get the program >AND< the source code.
