iTunes and Windows 7 Ultimate

    have tried downloading 64 bit set-up but having trouble with intermittent sound output...program wants to change compatibility settings (like XP serv.pk.2 or 3)
    however when launched still asks to turn of settings? anyway still no sound.
    I am running thru flatscreen via hdmi cable and connecting a line-in jack from PC to input on back of 22" screen...as stated it works on first boot but seems to fail whenever the screen fades to sleep mode or something
    any ideas???:cool

    Hi

    iTunes should be ok with Windows 7, what version of iTunes are you downloading? (9.1.0.79 is latest)

    Try this download HERE but uninstall the one you have installed now.


    Do you have any yellow ! marks in Device Manager? if so what?

    Yes, 9.1 did work , no yellow's in device manager either, but only when I connected the speaker jack directly to the PC and bypassed the input jack in back of LCD Flatscreen did the "mute" issue go away. I guess I'll have to leave it like that...Thank You so much for your expertise! :wave
