Itunes crashes comp?

Well, ive been having problems with comp freezing during games and crap...and i was talking to rikky, and he suggested switching sata cables/ports...which i did, and played warcraft 3 yesterday for hours w/o any problems..thank god...at least for now...well...the comp froze on me again today, every single time during itunes, with stuttering sound and all...any suggestions?

Doesn't I-tunes install a media player? I forget which it installs, but maybe there is a conflict there. Check start-up programs, there is possibly an auto-update app. kicking on. Just a thought until someone more knowledgable answers.

 

itunes IS a music player that comes with the ipod...no updates for it, dl'd it straight from apple

 

Are you talking about quicktime(bundled with itunes)?It has an update feature for codecs and such,I dont know if that could cause a crash.
