ITunes crashing start up

Hi, for a while now my itunes has just been crashing when its starts
im running vista x64
I have tired removing it and reinstalling it, with out luck
im trying to reinstall the x64 version although the other version before that worked fine
im unsure as to what created the problem, but it used to work

I have done that exactly, as you say

ive used the x64 one to reinstall

i believe i didn't have a problem with the non-64 version beforehand, im going to try again using the non-64 as that is what i had previously working.
