iTunes install issue

My AVG scan warned of a Trojan Horse with iTunes. I deleted iTunes. When I went to reinstall, it gives a warning that a file failed to register (see below). The only option that does anything productive is the abort option. I cannot reinstall iTunes. I tried installing a couple previous versions to no avail.

"Module C:\Program Files\iTunesMiniPlayer.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147023782. Contact your support personnel."

Another great FP from AVG! as this maybe now stuck in AVGs quarantine I would be tempted to download lastest iTunes version from here, and download AVG from here, then disconnect from internet and uninstall AVG and iTunes and rn CCleaner and its cleaner and registry tools.

If you have Spybot installed then disable it as it can hinder re-registering of DLLs

Then try and install iTunes and then if sucessful install AVG again.

Other problems with iTunes have been:
1) not installing unless you run as administrator account
2) latest version crashes on some computers
3) iTunes does does not see iPhone when iPhone is attached
4) iTunes will not start if iPhone is attached
5) 32 bit version has random problems on 64 bit Windows

Try uninstalling, clean up files and registry, download latest for your version of windows and install while on as administrator. Reboot, start iTunes, plug in the device (iPhone, iPod), update to latest firmware. That seems the most reliable setup.
