Itunes Issue

    My brother has Windows Vista, For a while itunes was working and all his songs were there, now they're aren't I've tried reinstalling itunes numerous times, and now its saying its missing a file, and it won't even open up. One day all songs were there and now nothing. I have done numerous virius scans as well, and still nothing, I even uninstalled quicktime.

    For now I completely uninstalled itunes for the time being.

    What file is it saying is missing?


    Noticed this a few times on friends PC that iTunes after an update causes your library to disapear, you need to add them back and hope in some cases that your purchased ones are still in the account.

    I would as you have uninstalled it, run CCleaner and its Cleaner and then the registry cleaner (run the registry one until nothing is listed for removal) and then install the latest iTunes again.


    is this Vista 64bit or 32bit, make sure you get the 64bit version of iTunes if Vista is 64bit version.

    Thanks for your response, Yes I have installed the 64 bit version, its saying I am missing a surpport file or something to that affect, and a grey box bumps up with a caution sign, with a bunch of words in it.


    Its saying an error has occured during the installion assembly of Microsoft VCT80 or something then it rolls back the installion.
