iTunes; podcast problem

    Sometimes, when I download a podcast with iTunes, it doesn't download the whole thing, but it says the download it complete. I listen to the podcast and it's cut off half way through, some times I only get a few seconds. I wouldn't even mind so much, but I can't figure out how to download it again, I have tried deleting a podcast like this, but when I do that its gone and I cant download it again at all.
    anyone know why this is happening or what I could do to fix it?

    FYI: I am running iTunes 7.6.1 on a Mac OSX.4.9
