   QuickTime causes problems with one of my required programs.
   
   Is there a version of itunes available that can be downloaded
   without QuickTime?
   
   
   This is for a older XP machine.

   Here is a hack which involves installing qt alternative before itunes.
   http://www.ghacks.net/2009/04/04/install-itunes-without-quicktime-and-bonjour/
   since it was posted in early April, I don't know if it is still applicable.

   Hi
   
   While iTunes installes Quicktime by default, it is a seperate install so once installed goto Add/Remove and uninstall Quicktime, before using your application that it affects, do note that it will need uninstalling again each time iTunes is updated.
