    hi can anyone help with an itunes problem, i have windows xp running on main pc and upto date itunes and bonjour, home sharing wont work and the remote on the iphone can not pick up itunes every now and then with eather a reboot of pc/itunes/or router i will get it then just as fast its gone,i am not running a firewall i have uninstalled it and windows one is off, is there any way to check the ports itunes uses to see if another program is using them or blocking them,
    i dont think its the router as the iphone will conect to a laptop that i have no music on, thanks to anyone who replys

    My friend had this happen to him, Don't know why this worked but it did. Backup all music on itunes , then completely unistall itunes and make sure there is no trace left on the pc, then go the Apple web site and reinstall itunes. That is what worked for him. Good luck.

    I found iTunes a pain in the neck on XP, I was forever uninstalling and reinstalling. There is a certain order in which to uninstall iTunes, it is on their web site. It's iTunes,Quicktime,Apple Software Updates, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour and lastly Apple Application Support.
