AH YES!!!

I remember the days of traveling up and down the road delivering food items (mine was Subway subs not Pizza) where, after considering the almost non-existant tip, I figured it was costing me about $20 a week. That's a small price to pay for HEAVEN!!!!

LOL. It's not a great job around here. Pizza delivery boys always have cash, and fairly regularly get shot and robbed in Memphis.

Why would anyone be proud of a job like that? I am guessing is a guy thing.

 

From one that has done it, DO NOT accelerate fast LOL,,the cheeze FLYs off the Pizza into the back of the box,,and please don't lean the BOX on the seat at a slant!! and g-d knows the stench of the seat !!! LOL VG

It's one of the better paid jobs that involves doing somthing fun (driving around ) which you can get without many formal qualifications.

 

I'm not proud of it, it's just a frigging awesome job.
all I have to do is smoke some cigarettes, answer the phone and deliver pizza's (and shoarma/kebab, since that's what they do best).
that and the pay is pretty good, €5,- per hour which is more than I'd make selling stuff in a store.

oh and about the fast accelerating: I do it all the time, the cheese will stay put and if it doesn't I really don't care, it's not my pizza

 

Why wouldn't they? They'd be working, earning his own money, independent of the state, and best of all, is enjoying the work.

A job's a job, provides money to live. Is snobbery a girl thing?

As goldy said anyway, it is probably a young guy thing. Flep's a clever Dutchman, I doubt it's a career path.. is it Fleppen?

good luck flepp, I was a paperboy once I hated it when I realized I couldnt throw papers at the porch and get a tip.

 

flepp that sounds like an awsome job. i used to work at a golf course and i was the guy who pulled the carts out in the morning, drove around the course during the day, then washed and put up the carts for the night, and had some fun in the process. its was cool for $6.50 american an hour. too bad me and my friend got fired for crashing a golf cart into a tree one night. it was too dark, but thats a different story.

 

Flep, trust me on this one... get yourself a milk crate and some bungee cords. Secure the milk crate in the passenger seat with one cord, this way you can put bags, soda's whatever into the milk crate and then strap the pizza box on top of the crate. As long as you don't take corners to fast or slam on the breaks, everything more or less stay's together, and you don't get any pizza sauce on your upholstery

 

A couple of my friends deliver pizzas, and they both love their job. Decent money for a young adult, with tips and all.

 

Do you get to take the leftovers home. I had a friend whose 1st job was pizzaboy, and he would've starved if it wasn't for pizzas that people ordered and didn't pick-up.

 

I delivered drugs when I was 15. No, not those drugs, prescription drugs, from a drugstore, on my bike. Crappy job, crappy pay, crappy boss. Fired me when I went on vacation with my folks.

 

I worked for Starbucks for two years. It was great! All the free coffee I could drink (while I was on the clock) plus I got to take home a pound of coffee each week.

 

i think i got the best jod i am a part time contractor i help blue springs kennel all i do is sit on my behind all day and every few mins shot a blank gun and throw a dead duck in the water for the dog to get good pay out side allday and i get to use a 22.cal handgun and get paid for doing it lol there is a downside sometimes you might go def in a ear for alittle bit if you dont were ear plugs

Flep, do freelance computer work man. Seriously, people are more than happy to pay well for good amateur work, instead of paying outrageous prices for professional work. I guess if constant income is necessary it might not be the best idea, but when payday comes it sure is nice!
