I've had this problem for a while ....

This computer always had a weird problem when I pressed ctrl+alt+del to stop a unresponsive program or something like that. It would never open right away and sometimes it would open for a split second until i got my mouse onto the screen to cancel an operation, but then it would close. That was bothersome, but now when i push ctrl+alt+del NOTHING happens at ALL!! like i disabled the buttons or something. My computer does get alot of spyware crap that i can delete most of, so im not really sure if its from spyware or just something that happend to the computer.... anyone have any ideas or insights???

Can you right click on the taskbar and choose "Task Manager"?

Does that work?

Also, if you KNOW you have Spyware, that is the first thing anyone on here will tell you to take care of first as it could be the root of your problem.

Download both Spybot v.1.3 and the latest Ad-aware. Install and run both.
Don't forget to update each program before running a scan.

Yea, i run both those programs often.... but it doesnt get rid of everything. Each time i scan i see alot of the same spyware things on there...like Klez, TS Cash, client man..... and when i right click to open task manager nothing happens.

that's a virus.. recommend you do a complete virus scan.
