I've been following a recent thread about using JavaRA to clean up/remove old versions of JRE. I ran it and then installed Java6, Update 13. I then installed Open Office 3.0.1, and it installed Java6, Update 7. Should I run JavaRA again and remove the older version (7) or remove it through "add/remove programs"? Will Open Office recognize the newer version, or am I better off leaving both? Update 7 shows as 137MB, and if I don't need it, I'd like to get rid of it. Thanks.

Thanks for both the info and the link. I will uninstall both and run JavaRA, then re-install Java6, Update 13. According to the forum in the link, this is a common problem with installs of Open Office, and a version without JRE can be downloaded (I'm doing this as I type).
