I was trying to make taking screenshots of a rectangular area of my applet easier. I use the PrtScreen key, including Alt+PrtScreen for just the window, and the Mac screenshot key combos, but I would like to use a single copy command just for that area of the applet so I don't have to crop it and stuff. I may eventually also like to use paste, and drag&drop to put pictures in that area. I tried using Transferables, but had trouble with DataFlavor.imageFlavor: aparently it is rather new, and I was trying to use Java 1.1 so it would work in a browser without a plugin. (It could use a newer version, I guess, if I could figure out a way of not making errors in 1.1.) I would like to be able to paste it into image editors. I found lots of stuff about text, but not images. I'm not sure about making a new DataFlavor object. That is, will it will work with other programs? Is this too much trouble? Anyone have suggestions? :confused They would be appreciated. :) Thx for reading...
