Java Applet

I need help developing a java applet that will show two buttons one that has green which displays a green background, and a red button that shows a red background and both show my name in each one.
I am not even sure how to start this. PLEASE any help is greatly appreciated. Any guidance is needed.

That should get you started. Try narrowing the search for more specific items and bookmark the sites that have plenty of content for future reference!
