Java Error? "Unable to launch the application"?

    Earlier today, I downloaded a program called MineControl which enables you to use a controller to play Minecraft. The program ran just fine. Now, for some reason when I run it, I get a java error that states the following.


    'Application Error. Unable to launch the application.

    java.lang.StackOverflowError'

    Does anybody know why this is happening? I can't run this program until this error message is fixed. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Java multiple times, but the message continues to occur. I restarted my computer and still the error persists.
