Java Error

Hello fellow geeks,

I am having some problems with my java. Every time I tried to login to the Wendy's website I get the following error.."error java.lang.NullPointerException" I thought perhaps a Java update would remedy the situation but does not. I also tried logging in with Chrome and Firefox to no avail. I am sure my credentials are correct. I also ran a Ccleaner which found dead registry files not associated with Java.

Any ideas? Thanks for your time.

I tried again today @ www.Wendys.com then clicked on "my wendys" and entered my information (credentials) and it worked! I'm assuming that it was something on their end cause now its works fine.

I find it interesting that you don't use java. Why? Due to security issues I must assume? Isn't it required to view certain websites correctly and to perform certain tasks with a computer? I am curious as to why you don't use it, could you please enlighten me. Is there a more secure substitute? Thanks for you time ploder, its appreciated.

 

I also checked the link as as plodr posted, you don't need Java on that site.

 

Thanks for the info folks. I wasn't aware that java and javascript were two completely different things. Now I know! That link you provided plodr is like reading "greek" to me. I guess a coder could make sense of it all. I am sure the problem was with the website and nothing on my end.
