    Hi,

When I go to youtube and a couple other sites, it says either Java not working or old version of flash, or just that it's an old version of flash.

Flash works on every other site, and works on the flash site, and I have Sun Java installed, I think it might just be Microsoft or something adjusted my settings as a security measure in an update, I could be wrong though.

I've heard other people talk about this recently, anyone know anything?

    Thanks.

Also, Macromedia flash / shockwave flash aren't showing up in add/remove programs, don't know if this matters, it might since I've seen them there before, but like I say, flash works on other sites.

    Thanks.

    Hi!
Adobe® Flash® Player 9 is the newest version
Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 8 is the newest version
Are those the versions you have?
...and they do show up in add/remove programs

JRE update 6 is what I have, and I can't find flash, thanks for replying.

What to do about flash? When I go to adobe page to download it, the gold bar never pops up to block the file, and that is enabled. The gold bar at top always blocks file and I have to allow file, but this isn't happening on flash page. Thx.

I know, when I go to the adobe page, says it's installed. When I click to download and install it, the gold bar popup blocker never happens, and it just says it's installed.

And it's weird that it doesn't show up in add/remove programs, that's probably a big factor, whatever the cause is, because it should be installed, I never uninstalled it, and there are flash sites that I can see. Crazy.

    Thanks.

How do I access the Java control panel? I think I turned off automatic updates, maybe I should turn them on and update Java.

    Thanks again.

never mind, I found it, it said I had latest version. crap.
