Java Installation Error

Hello majorgeeks.com. Im newly registered member here.

Ok, I got a problem here: I can't install Java ever since I format my disk and reinstall my Windows. I've been trying to find solution for this over Google and so far I have failed to find any solutions. Perhaps you guys might be of help here. This problem has been persisting for over 2 months.

I've been trying to install Java here and this is what I got:

Then I tried to uninstall an older version of Java.

How do I get over this "network resource unavailable" thingy?

 

Sounds like you might need windows installer cleanup:

Hello DethPhunk, :wave It looks to me, like you are trying to save it to : "D "drive, and I think you should "browse" and save it to "C" Drive.

The "D" drive is your CD drive. I think if you change that to "C" you will have a good installation.
I just finished it myself, and it went just fine on "C" and wasn't saved to "D"

 

I agree; it seems like the previous Java installation is corrupted, and this is the best way to remove the corrupted install. The Windows Installer Cleanup Utility is no longer available from Microsoft, but can be obtained right here at MG http://majorgeeks.com/Windows_Installer_CleanUp_Utility_d4459.html
