    Hi,

I'm currently using FF as my default browser and it won't display any of the pictures or colours or stuff on Ebay, but if I open it in IE, they work. I'm guessing it's some sort of setting, and had a look at the Javascrip console in the program, and it has errors for all the pictures. Most of them say "Error in parsing value for property" and a couple say "Unknown property". I think this is the only site I'm having trouble with, or at least it's the only that is so noticeable.

Am running a Pentium 4, 2.66Ghz with XP Home SP2.

Any help would be most appreciated.

    Smiles!

Are you having issues with ALL ebay pictures, or just some of them? What version of FF are you using?

Also, please provide the weblink that you are using! :)

In, addendum, what extensions are you using?

    Oh yeah, sorry.

Seems to be all pictures, www.ebay.com.au (aussie ebay) and FF is version 1.5.0.3

I don't think I know what extensions are - extensions to FF? How would I be able to check?

    Thanks
    Shanna

    Check this,

Tools >> Options >> Content >> Check the "Load Images" Box

And, click the "Exceptions" box to make sure that anything EBAY is not listed there.

Load images was already checked (sorry should've said I already had a look at that) and nothing is listed in exceptions.

Disable the AdBlock feature under Tools.

Couldn't find an adblock feature, but tried unchecking the block popups option and reloaded the page, but no luck.

Is the adblock feature different again? Where do I find it?

I'm going from memory here so don't be to hard on me if I'm wrong.

Tools > Extensions > see if you have Adblock > maybe Options.

    Thanks Steve

That's ok, how could I be hard on anyone when I don't have the faintest idea what I'm doing half the time - lol

Checked extensions and the only one it shows is "talkback" also no adblock under options.

Check under Tools > Options > Content > JavaScript > is it checked (I think).

I don't know Shanna. You could try temporarily disabling your anti-virus or firewall and see if it works.

I don't use Firefox anymore so not much help. Maybe an experienced Firefox user can help.

    That's ok Steve,
I really appreciate you trying :) - hopefully someone else might know.

Do you mind if I ask why you no longer use FF - did you find it too much trouble, or just find something you prefer?

Anyway, thanks again, you're a champ.

I liked it fine. Just changed back to IE, old habits I guess. ;)

This is out of my league but have you tried another e-bay site? Say ebay.com or ebay.co.uk? Do they have the same symptoms? Bazza

    Um, good point.

Tried both and neither are displaying properly either.

Dunno if it makes a difference, but I can look at the pictures if I right click the little "thingy" (my very techie term there) where they're s'posed to be and click 'view image' - it takes me to a new screen and shows just the image by itself.

OK. Have a look at the link below and see if anything there helps.

um, I had a bit of a look, but nothing seems to apply. Tried downloading the user agent switcher ext, since the site works in IE, but it didn't seem to fix it. Just left the site loading forever!! Argh! So annoying!

Actually, might go ask on the support forums over there. Just saw it suggested to someone in a different thread - Why did I not think of this!! Idiot!!!
