JAVA problems =[

hi all, for some reason my java doesnt work anymore, like i cant view videos on youtube, it says i have to get the latest flash version but i did, still no work. and when i type in a url, i have to put in www, before i didnt have to use www.majorgeek.com it was just majorgeek.com, and uhmmm, i tried to enable java in my internet options already so that wont help, i think i deleted a file long time ago because it said it was infected but it had something to do with java! =X is there a way i can fix this? like completely get a new java or something??

 

I can't quite recall the exact update # but this is caused by one of the Windows critical security updates. You will have to uninstall one at a time and reboot till you find the one (I'd advise starting with the last one on Add-Remove Programs list or search on Windows update site to see which ones were about Java/IE and work your way from there) causing this.

This is quite a unpractical and cumbersome fix so my suggestion to you'd be to use Mozilla Firefox to see if YouTube videos work fine, if they do then you know the above is the cause. I'd suggest using FF at least to watch videos...either way, I hope this helps.

when i updated to sun java the lastest verison it left in my add n remove programs java(tm)se enviroment6 update 1..does anyone know how to remove that cuz it wont let me unistall it .. i have windows vista home premuim..
