I am running IE6.00.26 on WinXp Sp1. I had a worm attack from cyber-URL_MODIFIED.com which I removed with Vundofix. Did some research that said the attack came through a weakness in MS Java 1.14 I was using. So I went to Sun and downloaded Java 2 build 1.5.0_06-b05. Then I went into add and remove programs and unistalled all Java programs except J2SE runtime environment.

According to the test on Sun's page everything is working properly but when I go to http://www.javatester.org/version.html it immediately says I need to download Java Virtual Machine. When I hit cancel I see a little red box in the location where my version information is supposed to be.

I don't want MS 1.14 on my machine if it is going to get hijacked - so what do I do to fix this?
