Java update

    Just redirect me to a good junk-free link for future Java updates, please. I foolishly updated from CNET after Avast flagged it and had to restart after Malwarebytes found 75 suspicious things. Really angry with whoever owns CNET for letting it be turned into a malware playground.

    I update Java through the icon in the Control Panel of the one computer Java is installed on. Be sure you uncheck installation of the Ask toolbar and after Java is updated, I always go back into the CP icon and uncheck "check for updates" which it insists on changing every time I update Java.

    Brom, I assume this happened before I told you yesterday to make sure you pay attention to all pages that offer all that junk.
    BTW it's not dangerous - just annoying - just garbage that changes your homepage or downloads toolbars that you may not want (like yesterday).
