Java won't install

The geeks in the malware forum said to ask you about this. I removed the old version of Java, now the new one installs part way, then rolls back. Any idea how to fix this?

 

I would try this: download and run CCleaner (link: http://www.majorgeeks.com/CCleaner_Slim_No_Toolbar_d4191.html). Run the drive cleaner with default settings, then run the registry cleaner also with default settings. Be sure to save the registry when prompted by CCleaner before you make any changes. Then download and run Dial-A-Fix (link: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4899.html). Check all boxes in the registration center, and all the boxes in the SSL section, then click 'Go'. It may take a minute or two, so be patient. If any errors occur, be sure to make notes and post them here and we'll try to help. After Dial-A-Fix is done, reboot and try to install the Java again... let us know how things go, and if it still doesn't install, we'll move to step 2.

BTW- you should check your event viewer just to see if anthing wierd happening that you're not aware of. Right click My Computer > Manage. Left click once on Event Viewer in the right pane, and in the left pane you'll see 3 or 4 choices: Application, System, Security.... look thru Application and System for any warnings or errors. When/if you find one, right click on it choose properties and record the info and post it....

I did what you said to do. It still won't install java. I got a picture that I hope helps.

 

I tried all that, same error and rollback spot. Is there anything else I could try?
