    Does anyone know of a reliable anonymous surfing programme which conceals the Java information. I try to watch tv on the net but it seems i cannot without java being on which gives information about my computer can anyone help or advise please.:confused

    I want to conceal my IP address and my Java information can I be identified by my Java information alone. I would also like to know a good anonymous surfer preferably one I can buy:wave out right and not rent. sorry if its a bit garbled.

    This has nothing to do with the topic at hand but I would not suggest having your real email as your user name. That's just asking to be crawled up by spambots.

    Sirs is there another anonymizer programme that's good apart from Anonymizer it wont download onto my computer for reasons I would rather not go into. Please.:(

    I do not have java installed on my windows computers and a site can identify what OS I'm running, what browser I'm using and the IP of my ISP to come close to my physical location. Obviously, java doesn't have a thing to do with the site getting the information. I'm not sure how you came to the conclusion that java had anything to do with a site gathering information on you.

    Now when you say you can't watch tv without java being on, are you sure you do not mean javascript? My computers all have javascript and to see some things on sites, I can choose to enable javascript. Javascript is not java; unfortunately the closeness in naming confuses some.

    Thanks guys the anonymizer download states error ??????????. I have tried many times to download the programme and it states the same error. I have tried with their technical support and the same thing happens.It used to work and then stopped. They owe me for six months but I have given up trying to fix the problem.The reason I ask about Java is that I am sure I read some information somewhere that you can hide your IP address but not Java you have to switch it off. So I thought that "they"could find me with just Java on. Thanks for all your comments its very kind of you to take time out to educate me. The email address is mine I was going to stop using it as an email address but changed my mind. How do I change this and many thanks again for your time.:confused

    Do you in fact want to watch tv but because your IP shows from the wrong country you can not? Someone from Canada wanted to see a US tv program but was blocked.
    If that is the situation, you do not have to download a program to your computer, like anonymizer. You go to the website like http://proxy.org/
    type in the site you want to get to and view the site.
