Hey guys- I installed Mozilla today and am not using IE anymore. Since dloading Mozilla, I keep getting windows saying "Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player"...... Javascript is TURNED ON so I don't understand the message. I also downloaded the latest FLASH PLAYER so the message just doesn't make sense. ALSO- I am getting messges saying "install the latest flash plugin" which I HAVE!

    Help please!

Do you have the NoScript add-on installed in Firefox?

I CAN see the shockwave player icon but NOT the flashplayer icon. I chose to download the flash player, it asked me to close firefox and restart. I did that and it still DOESN'T display the flashplayer icon. Does this mean flashplayer is not installed?

    LennyW:

I can go to Tools menu>go to add-ons and DO NOT see that NoScript is installed.

Thanks for the help so far.....Any other ideas?

If you go to Tools, Options, and select the Content tab, is the box for Enable JavaScript checked?

Is Shockwave Flash listed in Firefox > Add-ons > Plugins tab?

Is Adobe Flash Player 10 Plugin (not ActiveX) listed in Add or Remove Programs? (for XP)

    Yes, but it says:

"shockwave for director- adobe shockwave for director netscape plug-in, version 11.5"

Shockwave Player is different than Adobe Flash Player. Install the one at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ (make sure to be in Firefox and close any other browsers and programs).

I've installed both and Im still getting "install plugins" with the blue shape that resembles a lego piece. I made sure everything was closed except firefox.

Is it asking you to install Flash again, or another plugin like QuickTime, etc.?

    Here's the FF plugin page
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:7
try and download what you need from there.
Shut down FF after you have them downloaded and installed. When you reopen FF, type about:plugins in the address bar and check to be sure each is listed.

To all of you with problems downloading the latest Adobe Flash, time and time again, only you know the active X is there? .... Out of desperation, I went to the Adobe site and accessed their downloadable Active X for IE. It works!!!! I have been using it for 3 hours today and no hitches. Now, all I have to do is to remember this little trick for Adobe's next upgrade...grr!

With regard to the answer provided by USAFveteran: When I go to Tools/Option/Content there is nothing there about Java Script.

I'm using (Very unhappily) Vista 64 bit. When trying to go into my favourite e-card site it wants me to download Adobe Flash and other add ons. All that stuff is already on my computer and everything at this site worked fine yesterday, but I cant get in there at all to-day.

    Hi

As you are using x64 bit Windows, are you also using the x64 IE (if your using Firefox as the original poster is then please let us know what browser you are using)? if you are then this is an Adobe issue in they do not have a x64 version of Flash and if your using the x64 IE then it will continually flag up you need to install Flash, to get around this use the 32bit version of IE included in Vista x64.

in Start menu list you will in all programs see Internet Explorer and Internet Explorer (64-bit) choose the non 64bit one.
