Javascript doesn't work

I know I changed my settings so that my computer is more secure, but it's pretty annoying that any kind of Javascript no longer works. I guess there is a new Java something or other, but I am not sure if that is the problem or something I changed in the settings. Any ideas?

 

If it work before and doesn't work now, then that makes me think it was something you changed in your settings.

 

Right. So is there anything I can do to make it work again?

 

I have now idea what you changed, go back and undo whatever it was you did.

 

This was over 2 years ago, and I am not even sure if it is anything I personally did, or if it is something that happened because of a virus or something. If it is something I did, there is no way that I remember what it is.

Maybe someone else can help? Or at least tell me how to remove and re-install or something...

 

From Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel uninstall Java, every instance is you have multiple versions installed.. Then open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Program Files\Java and delete the entire directory. Download The latest Java VM from Sun Microsystems it is J2SE 5.0 you want the JRE 5.0 Update 5 for Windows. Reboot your computer, install Java.
