    javascript is NOT java.
Unfortunately those pictures are too tiny for me to see much. I do see heading Java Settings, which isn't the error you get.
Do you have noscript installed in FF? If so, you need to allow javascript for the site(s) that complain.

I'm not sure what you problem is. I've gone to the site (noscript is running with javascript turned off). I found a Computer Chronicle episode. Below the movie, I see a choice of 3 downloads. I left-clicked on 512Kb MPEG4 and got a popup which allows me to either view the movie or save it by downloading.
It is currently downloading. So enabling javascript is not the problem.

hi again plodr, i am very happy to say that the problem has been solved, you are rite it was not a java issue, i was downloading the files incorrectly, when i would go to the site i would rite click on the center where the big green arrow is prompting me to save it and it would not. when i got your reply i noticed that you said left click where it says 512 kb mpeg 4, so i tried it the way you did and thank GOD it worked, so i thank you for all your help major geeks rocks, peace
