I have a problem maybe one of you can help me with. Im using window.open to open an image file. The new window automatically has a top and left margin that throws the bottom and right sides of the image off the window. I have set it to not be resizable so I need to know if there is a way to set the margins or the padding in a window opened by "window.open" that isnt an html document but an image. I also dont want to use the "target=_blank" tag because I want to keep the controls and scrollbar off this particular window. Thanks

Make an HTML file that will load the image, and possibly resize the window its being loaded in to the size of the image file.

You can't change browser's default settings for an image without using a HTML file, I'm afraid.

If you're worried about having hundreds of HTML files, you only need one, specify the image to be loaded in the querystring and have javascript load it from there. e.g. loadpic.html?image=blah.jpg
