I am running a java program that has been converted to an executable. I run this program on my desktop and laptop. Recently, the laptop gets hung up when I run this program and it appears that javaw.exe is using all of the processor. I have done all the scans and checks recommended by Major Geeks. I have also made as many settings as possible the same on both computers. I have removed and downloaded java 1.4.2, java 1.5.0, and MS Virtual Machine in all combinations. The desktop runs java 1.4.2. I am running Windows XP Pro SP1 on a 700 MHz Pentium 3 with 512MB RAM. The program I am trying to run is GridWare (free and available at www.statespacegrids.org).

Can anyone help or at least point me towards someplace else to figure this out?

    thanks!

possibly try and download an older java virtual machine, as your specs are pretty low
