    Hi

    • What type of mouse is it, USB, Wireless/Bluetooth?
    • What make and model and have you updated its drivers?
    • Cleaned the mouse pads and your mouse mat, these can get sticky at times?
    • If Wireless/Bluetooth have you reset them?
    • Checked Mouse properties in Control Panel to see if mouse speed is not set to dead slow?
    • Updated graphic card drivers to latest?

    • If Bluetooth is it close to a wireless network card or router, if so move it further apart.
    • If its an old rollerball type take the ball out and clean the ball and the three runners inside.

Is your system free of malware?
excessive processes will and can hold all the CPU time, making a mouse stutter/jerk

Someone recently had a similar problem and I read that a black mousepad solved the problem. Put the mouse on a black sheet of construction paper and see if that helps.
