Don't know the program but you always have to create a continuous audio track and cut the video in to suit.
I like the Ulead Media Studio editor which will allow me to split the audio and video and recombine later. You may need to do something like this with yours to lay down an audio track and then add the video.

Of course someone else may know a brilliant free editor?

Thanx for the links; I'll check 'em out. I was really hoping that I'd be able to do this easily... it seems that if you have two AVI's that are encoded exactly the same, you should be able to simply tack one onto the end of the other, but apparently not. So, if I have 2 files, (for example 'Part1.avi' and 'Part2.avi'), I have to strip out the audio track from both Part1 and Part2, combine that into a single file (we'll call it 'Aud1+2'), then strip and combine the video tracks from Part1 and Part2 ('Vid1+2'). And then I have to combine Vid1+2 and Aud1+2 and match it up so there's no out of sync problems.... this sounds like a major PITA :(... I think I have Cyberlink's Power Producer laying around here somewhere... I'll try the above links first, and I'll hope for the best!! Thanx guys!
