I saved to desktop, and then attached five pictures to an outgoing Yahoo forum email I did.
Four of them were sent me through another Yahoo forum
One was sent me via an email server.

I am getting feedback from people who can access the Yahoo forum that they are unable to open the pictures.
One said the error "I am not able to open MMI" came up. Of the five photos, "the first 4 photos are html photos and the last is not," and they were able to open the last one.

I opened the last one, copied the picture, saved it to a new desktop file, and attached that on to an outgoing email.
I can go to the Yahoo forum that has it posted, and when I open it, MS Office picture manager opens it.

What is preventing others from opening the files/pictures?
    Thanks,
    Skysarge

    Hi

Just try this as a thought, attach the pics in a zip file, so hightlight all and right click one of the highlighted ones and choose "Send to Compressed Zip Folder", then attach that and see if your recipients can open them once they have unzipped the folder.

can you attach one of the pics here HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post as a test.

As you requested, hopefully attached are some of the pictures.
#5 and 5A are the same picture that I had to reformat.
    Hope this helps

    Greetings, Skysarge.

That pic is showing up fine here - .jpg, 640x480, about 62kb.

Good looking animals there, by the way. ;)

    Still playing with this problem.
I went back and retrieved some other photos, and sent them to the Yahoo forum group using a different method.
I copied the photos to Word, then emailed them to the forum successfully.
I was going back to the original incoming emails with the attachments and reformat them. Problem arose when I realized I could not locate them.
I have a feeling in all this I allowed them to be assigned a file name rather that giving them one that would assist me in finding them. I can get several dozen photos within a three-month period.
It might be easier to have them resent, and then use the process I just discussed.
Thanks, for the suggestions. Greatly appreciated.
    Skysarge,

Mr. Lucky, leave the light on for me.

If you're into photos and saving/converting them, grab IrfanView (after it installs, load the Plugin pack too) - great little freebie for renaming/resizing/saving as different formats.

IView's learning curve is fairly shallow, and several MGs use it if you need tips or tricks.
