I edit and publish organizations' newsletters for posting on their websites.
A problem opening email attachments (jpg) sent me, has come back. It did this once before, but it cleared itself.
I have been using the email/attachment format for several years.
I get the error msg:
C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\IMG_3342-1.JPG could not be opened, because the associated helper application does not exist. Change the association in your preferences.
Thoughts on what this might be?

Can you open a JPG file that is stored on your local disk (by double-clicking it).

Some I can, others not.
I use Mozilla T'bird as primary and OEx as secondary.
When this occured originally, I used OEx exclusively

That is rather strange - do you get the same error message as when you try to open a JPG from inside your mail?

If looks like the JPG file association may be broken. Open a Command Prompt (Start | Run | type cmd ), then inside the Command Prompt window type

Pwillener - assoc .jpg brings up "jpg = jpegfile"
Halo - OS is XP Pro w/SP3
Not sure what a profile folder is
