i'm going to buy a new graphics card and game this weekend.
i'm going to buy dark messiah of might and magic, and i'm going to pick up the ati radeon 9250 256 card(pci cause thats all i have.) i checked the requirements for the game and until i can afford some more ram and a new processor this is what i have.

    intel celeron 2.4ghz
    512 ram
    windows xp
(radeon 9250 when i get it)
    dvd/rw-rom
    ummm some gigs. and junk.

but i was wondering even though i have this will i be able to play dmomam to a pretty good quality because of the card? and i'm not even sure if its supported, i know it supports the ati 9/x seris. so anyway i do'nt want to buy the game and not be able to play it, so just checking before i get it that i'll be able to play it.

try the demo first; its a beautiful game and its also pretty hard on your computer. I can run it pretty high with my specs (see my profile) but not totally maxed. More RAM would definitely help your overall system performance. That isnt the greatest card but yea since its PCI its one of the best u can get (the x1300 being the best PCI card but also VERY expensive for what ur getting) As i mentioned before, try out the demo and see how it works out. If u can id pay the extra $10 and get an FX5500 which is a bit more powerful.
