just a little question??

i downloaded the bysoftfreeram n i dont know wat the hell is wrong with this program it has been runnun for ever 6 hours n i just want to go to sleep ....here is the question ....does anyone know how long it takes to finish????

please anyone im tired...

I'm not familar with that program, but some RAM testers can take a long time.

Leave it overnight and see how you go.


Having said that, some programs suggest that if nothing is found in the first few hours, there is nothing wrong and no point leaving it.

Doesn't it have a help or info file?

 

it has a help icon but im afraid if i clik on it it might stop the freeram program so i just been dead stone about it.........should i clik it ????

 

I can't say with any certainty, but if you want to go to sleep, leave it running and check it when you get up.

Does it look like the screenshot above? If so, it's not a memory tester, it's a memory manager, so it is supposed to run all the time. If it's in the system tray running, that's where it is supposed to be; if a window is showing on the desktop, minimize it or look in the options menu and set it to minimize on start. You can click the icon to get the main window again.

If it is contiously trying to free ram, the settings are too high for your system; set it to defaults and you should be fine.
