Just a quick question...

    It's better to unsinstall the old driver before installing the new one correct? Should I reboot after I uninstall?

    Thanks, and please share anything else I may need to know.

    i reboot when i change drivers dont know if its beneficial on xp or not but been rebooting since win3.1:)

    The only problem with uninstalling the old driver is that you won't be able to use the "driver rollback" feature if applicable.

    There is no blanket rule really.

    Sometimes you can get away with just "updating" the driver, while other times you have to remove the existing driver before installing the new one. EG video card drivers.
