just bought a laptop!?!

hey i just bought a gateway solo 3350 the other night. the specs are a little low end on it but those tiny laptops rocked! does anyone have any recomendations on what to disable in xp so that i can run it on this laptop? i know i can use the classic windows theme and that cuts a bunch of crap out but is there anything else? it's a 600mhz P3 with 128mb of ram. i'm probably gonna upgrade to 256mb but not right away. should i even mess with xp on it or should i just install 2000? I know that'll run good on it. thanks for any information in advance.

 

yeah 512mb isn't really a possible option on this laptop..............the little mobo in this laptop only supports a max of 256mb. it's six years old but i'll figure out some magical way of running xp on it. i'm only gonna use it for patching into servers and typing up documents so i think i can disable several features of xp that i won't be needing. thanks tim.
