Just built a new system.. any thoughts?

Hey guys..

well i have been slugging it out with my old comp for about 4-5 years now and i FINALLY bought and built a new system..

just wondering what your thoughts and opinions are on the hardware..

It is as follows

Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 2.4ghz
ASUS P5E-VM HDMI Mobo
4GB OCZ DDR2 1066mhz
ATI HD4870 512MB
500gb Seagate HDD
Thermaltake M9 Case
650w Antec PSU

 

Looks pretty good:cool
Should be able to handle the new games with the eye candy turned up, I think.

What monitor BTW? A system like that deserves atleast a 24".

Oh yeah, throw in another 750GB or 1tb drive in there just for backups (if you don't already have a backup drive).

 

monitor is a samsung 226BW 22" widescreen..

i'll eventually get another HDD installed..

 

Sounds like a great system and should last for a while. However, there is only one more thing you should do, just to make sure it's running at peak performance. Box it up and send it to me and let me keep for about 6 to 8 months, just to be sure that everything is working properly. At the end of that time, you'd probably saved up enough money to build a better machine and, in your undying gradtitude for me taking my time to make sure it's working properly, you just say keep the old one, because I have a better one now. Sound like a plan???:-D NO!!!:cry Well, you can't blame a guy for trying!!:-D
Seriously, that looks like a sweet system and, if you're a gamer, like Deckard said, you should have no problem with the graphics turned up!! Good Luck and ENJOY!!!

i have still yet to get crysis to really test it out..

soon tho
