And it rocks! What I have to do, however, is rename ALL my .rmj files (real audio jukebox) to plain old .rm files in order for it to play them. While this is much easier than re-loading all my music by disc one at a time, it still is a huge load of work, as I have over 2000 files to rename.
So, is there anyway to rename ALL the files AT ONCE rather than going thru each one individually? If not, I have my work cut out for me, but it's worth it. I'll have a new player, and I can kiss Real Audio good-bye forever! :)

    hi e-clayton
dont know what os your using but can you right click on one of them-properties-should see opens with-then a tab "change"-then choose your new player from the list-if you cant see it use the browse tab to point to the player-and check the box to apply to all files of this type--OK and out
When you select one of your music files now it should open with your new player

Havent used the Jet Audio myself so hope it works with this

Or you can do this in a similar way through your tools menu in a normal explorer window

Sorry, I should know better!! :) I'm running Windows 2000 Professional.

Unfortunately, I tried that, but the problem is that Jet Audio won't play the file, the player just sits there, and the solution given at the Jet Audio forums was to rename each file from .rmj to .rm. So, I'm trying to do a mass renaming, or else I'll have to go through each file individually, which will be very time consuming...

But, this still beats paying to upgrade Real Audio in order to convert all my files to .mp3, and it beats having to start over and reload all my music onto the hard drive as .mp3, so if I'm stuck having to do it one at a time, so be it!!

But, it' would be nice to name all of them at once!! :D

    Hi General
The improvements i should point out to any member who wishes to have a look at this software over previous versions are The sound quality is now "very" good also it now comes with a very good recorder so your music can now be recorded to the hard drive. Lastly for people like myself who do the occasional radio broadcast this now reaches more listener's. I haven't yet tried it on my small audience yet. The last time i tried i had about one listener all evening. But that i am told is down to port forwarding which i may add is not my strong point. So should any member try to broadcast it may be a case of trial and error but perseverance should win the day :)

BINGO!! That little program is very nifty!! Just make sure the files are not set to Read-only, and hidden! :)

I did a search for .rmj files, and then right-clicked on them and was able to change all my music files in about 5 minutes!! WOW!!

Thanks so much, Mr. General! You da Man!!

I'm going to give this link to the JetAudio forum where someone had a problem similar to mine, and hopefully it will help them out!!

    Take care!

Jetaudio does 'phone home' on two occasions: when you let it update itself online and when you listen to streaming content. The liveupdate can be disabled by simply checking a box in the program's settings and when listening to streaming content, a decent firewall asks you if you want to allow the outgoing connection, denying the connection has no consequences at all for running the program.

It's not doing anything that two-thirds of the programs on an average computer do...
