Just finished formatting, back online.

Hi Guys,

Well, I couldn't fix my computer the old conventional way, still had the midi/wav problem, and the xlime.offeroptimizer.com browser hijack kept happening, I tried a ridiculouse amount of spyware removal tools, just wasn't happening.

I scored my fathers HDD for 2 hours and backed up 26GB onto that, then found 8x 700MB blank CD's and put as much as I could onto that, I only lost 22GB of data, it's better than loosing the whole lot, managed to keep roughly 31GB anyway...

I just finished installing all updates, programs, ID's, etc

I have only installed Norton Anti-Virus at the moment, still undecided on a firewall, I dont know whether to get NIS2004/2005 or ZoneAlarm... any votes on either?

Well, time to install some games to play I think, its 4:14AM here on a saturday morning and I`ve spent most my time backing up, formatting, refurbishing.. time for a little play I think.

not really of lately...

I have a MASSIVE boil on the back of my neck, the size of a golf ball, and it is caining, I cant sleep much becuase of it, I got about 2 more days before it liquids up so I can bust it to get relief and be pain free..

I dont know what causes them, but I am starting to think it has something to do with me and computers, I havent had one for over a year now... and suddenly I am getting them again.. I wonder if its caused via the radiation coming from the monitor or something..

Or maybe its just a generic disorder (Mother gets them, but under her arms and groin area) and Ive genetically picked it up... they smell repulsive when they bust and its affect my moral, thats for sure, Ive seen doctor after doctor about them, they cant explain it.. my blood appears clean...

 

A moist compress warm as you can stand may speed up the process. Use the compresses as soon as you find a boil starting. The moist heat will either speed up the thing comming to a head, or if do early it may disolve and go away.

I`ll give that a go, I have been told to have salt baths, changed my soap in the past to 'medicated' only, I consider myself 'Extra' clean, I should MIN twice a day, but usally breakfast, lunch and tea, to avoid dirt and grub getting into my paws, incase that's a cause factor, which is turning out not to be....

I have more male cosmetics than a female, I use roll-ons over spray cans, I pay out 10$ on a tube of clear sky facial exfoliating cream, that I use to clean my body with every night shower, it gets what it can from the paws of your skin...

One day I`ll find out whats causing them, until then I have to put up, shut up and enjoy the pain, which is sometimes so severe (like the one on the back of my neck, just a little larger in size to that of a golf ball)...

When I was in the Navy I had a couple of boils. That was the treatment the
medics gave me. It worked for me. One just went away the other came to a head and opened quickly.

What did you do to get rid of them for good? or what caused them for you?

Can radiation from a monitor cause them?

I`ve only been getting them since I moved to darwin, at first 3 years I thought it may of been the diffrence in heat (we dont get the four seasons, we have 1 all year round, HOT) and the humidity is high all year round..

But then they go away for a year or so.. then come back...

argh, they are really affecting me

 

I think mine were a reaction to bathing in salt water. As soon as fresh water
showers were available problem solved.
