just got COX HIGH SPEED now my speakers dont work!? help

when i go to device manager, system speakers it says "No drivers are installed for this device. "my speakers were working fine previous to getting COX..what drivers do i need to download to get my speakers working again?

driver provider : microsoft
driver version : 5.1.2600.0

Have a quick read of this and download one of the programs listed at the bottom http://forums.majorgeeks.com/announcement.php?f=23 ( I favour Everest )

once installed, supply some details like

Motherboard Name and Version?
Operating System + service pack installed ( I do note that you have XP )?
If you have a 3rd party add-on Sounds Card Supply its Name and Version?

Also, make sure the Windows Audio service is running.

The Presario 5000 comes in many variants ( 223 to be accurate )
